O.k. So I have this really great family that I truely adore and I have put in a lot of work with this family. So if anyone could help me out, it'd be truely appreciated.
I've had this problem before but I was in the process of moving my Sims into a new and bigger home. The parents just turned to elders and all five of their children are grown up (one adult and four teens in which two of them are twins) two of the teens and older sister went to a clothing store and when they got back, I noticed the mother and father are stuck in the bed! Like mentioned, it happened before but I just went ahead and moved them out of their old house. I'm trying to avoid having to do that again and re-furnishing their house. The adult child was on her way getting her own place and when I do something like that, I'd normally save the game just in case something went wrong to avoid from starting all over.
So does anyone know a way that I could get the parents out of bed without moving the whole family out and having to re-furnish the house?

I've had that happen, the only solution I can think of is to use the moveObjects cheat code and litterally move one of them out of bed. they will both snap out of the bed, and all of their needs will be reset to boot. I haven't been able to find a non-cheat way to fix the bug, other than moving out of the house. I'm not even sure howe it triggers, because it's happened to me when they were the only two in the household.

turn on move_objects on and boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true
move them out of bed in buy mode
go to live mode shift click on them
find force error and click it
press reset when the box comes up
I get this glitch sometimes and this always works for me

Do you have furniture beside the sides of the bed? Move it. Then use boolprop as SimPerson suggested if they still don't get up. You have something blocking their path.. It could be a coffe table beside the bed, a curtain, a window, a dresser etc. Don't put anything beside the beds except the end tables, and some of them will still block your Sim.

My old people are stuck sleeping..........all hugged up and stuff......lol :( at first I thought they had died while slepping but then none of the kids ran to the room crying or the little reaper didn't visit.

Yea it's weird. I didn't evn think of the cheat code to get them out of bed. Duh! But I haven't been playing them since they got stuck in bed.....lol But I will try this technique and see what happens...

I've had that happen to me before. A young couple, I think it was the Kim family, their son went to school in the morning and they didn't wake up at all. they were just frozen in their sleeping position. I tried moving them but it didn't work. Their son eventually came home from school, but they were still frozen. So I packed all of their stuff into inventory and moved them to the family bin as if I were going to move them to another house, but moved them back into their old house and haven't had a problem since.

Right. Thats what I was trying to avoid...having to move them all over again and re-furnishing the house. It takes a lot of time to furnish the house up.....lol
UPDATE: I got them out of bed by using the MoveObjects cheat code.
